Paul J. Treadgold serves as Director of Government Affairs for Tokyo Electron (TEL), a leading global manufacturer of innovative semiconductor production equipment. In this role, Paul is responsible for leading TEL’s engagement with US government stakeholders as well as designing, developing, and executing TEL’s US government affairs strategy. Prior to joining TEL, Paul spent nearly seven years in various roles related to policy, advocacy, and government affairs for the US businesses of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, a leading science and technology company with operations across the healthcare, life science, and electronics industries. Paul also served for several years as chair of the company’s Rainbow Network USA and Canada LGBTQ+ employee resource group and was named as a finalist for Out & Equal’s LGBTQ Corporate Advocate of the Year award in 2021. Before that, he spent more than four years in various roles at the US Chamber of Commerce.
