Project on Trade and Technology , Renewing American Innovation Project , Strategic Technologies Program
With passage of the US CHIPS Act and the recent entry into force of the EU’s Chips Act, there has been an increase in investments in the U.S. and Europe  semiconductor industries. Please join CSIS for a panel discussion where participants will assess the successes of both Chips Acts to date, the global race to “reshore” chip production, and where the U.S. and EU are poised to go from here.
This event will include Hendrik Bourgeois, Vice President of European Government Affairs at Intel, Adam Piotrowski, CEO of Vigo Photonics, and Sarah E. Kreps, John L. Wetherill Professor at Cornell University, as panelists. The discussion will be co-moderated by Emily Benson, Director of the Project on Trade and Technology, and Sujai Shivakumar, Director of the Renewing American Innovation Project, with opening remarks from James A. Lewis, the Director of the Strategic Technologies Program.
This event will be livestreamed from 10:00-11:00 AM ET on December 6th.
This event is made possible by general support to CSIS.
