High-tech company picks Indiana to produce advanced memory components
SEOUL — SK Hynix will spend $3.9 billion to build an advanced chip packaging fabrication plant in the U.S. state of Indiana, as the administration of President Joe Biden aims to revive the domestic semiconductor manufacturing sector.
The world’s second-largest memory chip manufacturer announced the plan at an investment agreement ceremony on Wednesday at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
